Summer Guide to Tjuvholmen - The Complete Oslo Waterfront Experience 2026
Events at Tjuvholmen this summer
The boutique hotel The Thief is screening the FIFA World Cup on its rooftop terrace from June 12 to July 19. With panoramic views over the Oslo Fjord and the city skyline, this is arguably the most spectacular place in Oslo to watch football. Food and drinks are available, and entry is walk-in only.
Tjuvholmen has long been one of Oslo's leading destinations for contemporary art and culture. The Astrup Fearnley Museum – one of Norway's most prestigious modern art museums – anchors the neighbourhood and is well worth a visit in its own right. This summer's exhibitions include:
Beatriz González – Astrup Fearnley Museum – June 12–October 11
Maren Morstad – Galleri M35 – June 11–21
Salke1 – Galleri M35 – June 16–26
The Astrup Fearnley Collection – Astrup Fearnley Museum – January 2–December 30
