From the Mongolian steppes to Tjuvholmen - Welcome to Cashmere House

26. March 2026
Cashmere House has 20 years of experience selling cashmere in Norway, with strong ties to Mongolia. Now they are in place at Tjuvholmen to deliver high-quality clothing to visitors.

Cashmere House believes that real cashmere should not only be reserved for the few, but should be a natural part of a modern wardrobe. Over the years, they have developed close relationships with manufacturers, designers and industry specialists with connections to Mongolia. This provides a close relationship with the herding families on the Mongolian steppes.

Each garment represents respect for the raw material, the people behind the production and the tradition behind the world's most sought-after natural fiber. As few know, Mongolia produces around 40% of all raw cashmere in the world and is known as the best fiber!

Cashmere is known for its exceptional softness, warmth and durability. The fibers come from the undercoat of cashmere goats that live in Mongolia's extreme climate conditions, which creates very fine and insulating fibers.

Cashmere House carefully selects materials and production partners to combine traditional craftsmanship with modern design. The result is garments that can be worn for many years and are more sustainable - and become a natural part of the wardrobe.
