Oslo Noir by Edvarda Braanaas

From August 20–30, you can see and experience the exhibition "Oslo Noir" by Edvarda Braanaas at Galleri M35. In the exhibition, the artist presents a new series of works inspired by iconic locations such as the Opera House, the Munch Museum, Oslo City Hall, and of course, Tjuvholmen.

After many years of wandering through the streets of Oslo — on bright summer days and through dark nights — Edvarda Braanaas has developed a close and distinctive relationship with the city. Her gaze seeks out the layers of stories, moods, and human dramas found in the places we move through every day.

In the exhibition "Oslo Noir," Edvarda presents a new series of works inspired by iconic locations such as the Opera House, the Munch Museum, Oslo City Hall, Tjuvholmen, and Frognerbadet. Through her motifs, she explores the tension between the open and the hidden, between the clear surface of summer light and the shadows that always follow.

"Oslo Noir" doesn't invite a quick glance. The series encourages the viewer to linger, return, and discover what only becomes visible on a second look.
