Family Work Shop at Astrup Fearnley

Be inspired by the exhibition "Grammars of Light" at Astrup Fearnley, and create your own luminous sculpture from glowsticks in different colors.

Winter holiday activity in Oslo

Brighter times are approaching, and the exhibition Grammars of Light illuminates the Astrup Fearnley Museum. The three artists Cerith Wyn Evans, Ann Lislegaard and P. Staff work with artificial light, and how it can create different moods and spatial sensations.

In the family workshop, we let ourselves be inspired and create our own luminous sculpture from glowsticks in different colors.

Maybe you want to make a luminous pole like Cerith Wyn Evans has done in StarStarStar/Steer (Transphoton) VII and StarStarStar/Steer (Transphoton) V (2019)?

Or maybe you would rather make a glowing letter or word, inspired by the luminous work Come Let Me Show You The Future (2016)?

The family workshops are held every Sunday, and are based on drop-in between 12:00 and 16:00. Here, young and old can solve creative tasks together, inspired by our current exhibitions.

The workshop is free for everyone, but adults over 20 years of age pay an entrance ticket to the museum. If you are a member, entry is free.
