With over 25 years in the art world and a unique, experimental expression, Marius Martinussen plays a significant role in Norwegian contemporary art – Now he's coming to Tjuvholmen with a brand new exhibition!

Through his paintings, Martinussen presents striking and seemingly abstract forms that can quickly become figurative. These can evoke images of streetlights, graffiti, or old, worn, and scraped walls. His vibrant use of color, organic shapes, and layering transport us to the contrasts of urban landscapes. As a result, his expression can be seen as personal and narrative, as much as abstract and emotionally evocative.
